Rocketts Landing is home to Richmond's first and only private marina on the James, bringing a new level of boating activity to the River City. This 2,000-foot-long floating-dock marina will offer 88 state-of-the-art slips and accommodate boats up to 60 feet in length. The marina will also feature restrooms, showers, a fueling dock, sanitary pump, water and power hook-ups, and a harbormaster.

The marina's first stage opened in May 2009 with 40 slips. Annual, seasonal and month-to-month leases are now available, with first priority going to Rocketts Landing residents. Boaters may choose between 30, 35 and 45 foot slips, each accommodating boats up to that length.
