Meet Gabe CorbettA residence with a built-in social life. Fall Line, Two-Story Loft Ask his neighbors, and they’ll tell you that Gabe Corbett is the de facto social director of Fall Line. This outgoing thirty-something created a Yahoo page for Rocketts residents, and now it includes about 25 people, ranging in age from their 20s to their 70s. Gabe also plays host to numerous socials, business networking sessions and a monthly book club. “This is a very social atmosphere,” says Gabe. “People really want to connect. And it’s also incredibly diverse. My closest friends are retirees – and I was thrilled when a neighbor’s daughter approached me to buy Girl Scout cookies.” As a realtor, Gabe recognized the many plusses of the new community as soon as he heard about it. “I was so excited about everything that was planned that I couldn’t resist. I asked how I could make a reservation that night. What intrigued me was the thought of living next to the river, being within walking distance to retail, as well as the Virginia Capital Trail.” Since making Fall Line his home in 2007, Gabe has already recruited at least one new resident to the neighborhood: his wife Natalie, whom he married in June. While his two-story loft space has been perfect for the newlyweds, Gabe dreams of one day moving into a townhome at Rocketts Landing if a family factors into their future together. |
