Meet Steve Knox & Annette Wilkins
The easy life for a waterfront-loving couple.
Sky Line, 2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms
Steve Knox and Annette Wilkins know the benefits of
condo living very well. “We made the condo decision more than
13 years ago,” says Annette. “We lived in one in downtown Norfolk for 10 years. We moved there because
we wanted less yard and less maintenance. It was a
great decision
for us.”
The problem with the Norfolk condo? It was in Norfolk. “About three years ago, we looked at each other and said, ‘Why are we in Norfolk when Lillian, our first and the greatest granddaughter in the world, is in Richmond?’ Our condo in Norfolk sold in about 10 seconds, and we started looking for a place to live in Richmond. We love the location, the floor plan and the concept of Rocketts Landing so much that we rented for two years waiting for our home to be completed. It was well worth the wait!”
Along with a new home in Sky Line, Steve Knox also discovered a newfound passion at Rocketts Landing – fishing. “I have become a fishing widow,” says Annette. “Even though we have lived on the water most of our married life, it was salt water. Steve never got interested in fishing. But now, he has really gotten into going down early morning or late afternoon and putting a line in the water.”
Since they’ve arrived in January 2008, Steve and Annette have seen Rocketts Landing evolve. “It seems to be getting a great cross-section of interesting people. We are really enjoying meeting our new neighbors. And the restaurants and retail are going to be a great addition. I can truly see the community coming together and becoming a neighborhood.”
